Back in 2002 katie found her first love in cj

Christopher james showed her life could be an open space to stay

Beach days bush walks dinner plans and camping with friends inside

He drove to visit during uni days then headed back into the night

Then just over one year in a crash changed every track

At the driver's window help cannot be given there

Disbelief stood fixed in place with replayed images to bear

His parents did not understand and placed their weight on blame

Though nothing shifts the truth of what unfolded all the same

Her father stopped beside the sight said her mother was on the way

Then carried on toward work again as that night stayed
