i was so impressed。

hello, everyone, my name is lucas i'm 7 years old, i studied at crush schedule school in oxford uk this summer, some of the things i enjoy doing the most we are going to the beach playing tennis and kicking a football in a field my favorite animal is the honey batch the people i love the most are my mommy daddy, grandparents and my friends the uk, switzerland and the norway topped the list of countries heading for a big increases in hot weather if temperatures break the international 105 degrees celsius target will not prepare for the climate change what does this mean for children like me instead of going to the beach we'll watch waves carrying away big stretches of land instead of playing tennis we will stay inside to avoid heat waves instead of enjoying time with my family i will be worried about them getting over from the heat instead of sitting around the campfire we'll worry about wildfires and air pollution and damage to wildlife like the honey batch, i love we must save our magnificent world we need to reduce greenhouse gases because they make hit go very fast there are lots of dangerous droughts which are bad for people animals and plants we shouldn't cut down so many trees if there are no animals do you want to live in the world with there are no truth and animals now it s the time to let me tell you one final thing our earth is important and fragile we must save our worth thank you。

mr dubo are you optimistic for some concrete commitments from cop 28 what are you hoping to come from it well, i think cops 28 will be a moment when all countries are going to come together and say gosh we actually didn't even think that it would be this bad and so there's going to be a tremendous amount of pressure on the delegations to do something better the un secretary general is screaming for us to produce emissions to try to have global emissions by twenty thirty and as it stands countries are not on track at all to do that and so the public pressure on cop 28 will be huge what we what we hope to see of course is that that countries will raise their ambitions somehow will double down on achieving the commitments that they've already made and will countries like the us in china really may be able to play a huge role in helping the rest of the world be carbonized the volumes of renewable energy that china is currently deploying have totally surpassed everybody's expectations including china's expectations right dogs for 23 are already expected to be met in 2025 and those were only set a few years ago, so what does this mean so all this capacity of wind and solar that is becoming available is great news for china, but i think it also is great news for the world because the whole world is going to need to go through this energy transition the coming years so there's a tremendous demand for these renewable energy solutions and where only a few years ago renewable energy was the more expensive option these days that's no longer the case it's becoming such that wind and solar actually cheaper than fossil fuels and that is going to really change the mindset around the world about what it means to make a quick energy transition。

many people say that sweden is just a small country and it doesn't matter what we do, but i've learned that you are never too small to make a difference and if a few children can get headlines all over the world just by not going to school then imagine what we could all do together if we really wanted to our civilization is being sacrificed for the opportunity of a very small number of people to continue making enormous amounts of money our biosphere is being sacrificed so that rich people in countries like mine can live in luxury it is the sufferings of the many which pay for the luxuries of the fuel we cannot solve the crisis without treating it as a crisis we need to keep the fossil fuels in the ground and we need to focus on equity and the solutions within this system are so impossible to find then maybe we should change the system itself we have not come here to beg well leaders to care you have ignored us in the past and you will ignore us again we have run out of excuses and we are running out of time we have come here to let you know that change is coming whether you like it or not the real power belongs to the people thank you。

we also still believe very strongly that it's better to walk away from a deal that is so bad that it is so unacceptable we cannot say it anymore strongly than some of the parties here have already said it is more than a joke it is deeply insulting it is unacceptable so what happened today is that the moral compass of the world the most vulnerable countries on our planet have walked out of the negotiations after the developed world failed to honor the promise, they've met to provide climate finance the rich world had reviews into honor their obligations and that effectively walk into ensure they can shift the body into the developing countries we're here as a group of aosis and ldc, we've just walked out we came here to this cop for a fair deal, we feel that we haven't been heard and there's a deal to be made and we have not been consulted。
