those all of china just speak mandarin now i'm specifically in guangzhou， cause you know that's where my parents are from and i just assumed that people would speak cantonese here i was wrong even in the airport everyone is speaking mandarin， i met like restaurant i'm in a mall everyone is speaking mandarin i don't understand what anyone is saying i feel so lost i feel so confused but maybe it's always been like this maybe people have always folk mandarin here cause this is my first time in china， but i don't know what we were saying i'm literally just making guesses on like what we were saying and i'm just trying to figure it out， but i'm not having any luck here this is not good i thought i would be able to practice my cantonese here by hand i literally can announcements announcements are in mandarin i don't know what these announcements are saying i feel so lost i'm gonna be in hong kong so hopefully it's not like this i don't know if people in hong kong also just only speak mandarin， i'm enjoying my time so far。
