join our grey ten english class in this last term of twenty twenty two the students been focusing on writing they've been learning some specific writing skills and maybe some rules of grammar hi, i'm thirsty hi ben and after they learn these skills they apply these skills in a variety of projects and that way that they get a chance to oh it's afternoon actually that way they get a chance to show what they've been learning whether it's a skill or a rule of grammar and they also get a chance to apply their creativity imagination and also communicate with some of their classmates so this week the students have been learning the rules of capitalization and one of the particular rules that causes students trouble is the capitalization of titles and to practice that the students are going to be doing a project where they design their own book cover where they make their own title with their own design and this way whatever, they learn can be tied a little bit more more closely to their memory so they have a more vivid memory of the rule and also when they're engaged in projects like this it gives them a chance to use and show some of their creative and communicative and collaborative skills which we at cqss think is very important for really any future endeavor also too while they're engaged with projects i get a chance to to visit them to talk with them to communicate with them on in a kind of a different way than that i would in a more traditional teacher, student role or maybe it's just quite and answer that way i can see kind of what they're working on i can give them advice i can give them some feedback and that way also i get to know them in a different way, so the skills that students get to engage with and practice when they're involved in a project or in group work our skills that we at cqss think are really important for any future endeavor also it gives me a chance to get to know students in a different way, it's difficult to get to get to know a student when when i maybe i'm standing at the front of the class kind of using a question and answer method, but when i come and visit them as they're engaged with group work i get to see how they work i get to learn about their needs what they need help with plus i get a chance to practice communicating with them which really helps improve of their english and i can better help
