i ain't gonna sway fucking the man even if we spot to beat i ain't touching。

there are hundreds of techniques in jujitsu, maybe thousands the sheer magnitude of techniques is one of the things that makes jujitsu both absolutely fascinating and incredibly daunting to learn even if your a game consists of only a small number of techniques, you still need solutions for all the ways in which your opponents attack you, you need counters, you need escapes, you need pathways from one position to another, you need offensive options that let you capitalize on opportunities you need to master the movement patterns that allow you to grapple efficiently, so the question is this is it possible to get better at judits to much faster can we compress the normal timeline it takes to achieve mastery in the art can we accelerate our progress in my view, the answer is yes absolutely you can greatly accelerate your progress in jujitsu, you might be surprised to hear that it's actually a rather simple process, i said simple not easy you have to be willing to put in the work and make no mistake it takes work and it requires you to find a dedicated training partner willing to join you on the journey toward mastery, so how do you get better faster? first, you must flow chart your game in order to understand all your available options from each position you find yourself in then, you must drill those techniques, this is where a training partner comes in you have to be willing to drill your collection of techniques and not just individually but as sequences combinations so they become automatic motor patterns that you can effortlessly execute let me explain what i mean by flow chart in your game what i'm not suggesting is that you attempt to flow chart the totality of your game all at once that's way too daunting instead you'll pick a single position start with your best position maybe it's guard within that position identify all the techniques you currently know write them down and start drilling them as you drill those techniques look for opportunities to transition from one technique directly to another connecting them together some techniques flow together perfectly other techniques don't connect at all but the act of drilling all your techniques along with actively attempting to connect them has immense value in helping you develop these patterns as automatic responses that can be performed without thought as you gain confidence with your techniques have your training partners resist your attacks if you are not having success executing your techniques, they are resisting too much and dial it back you only want as much resistance as you can handle and still have success this process will help you sharpen your setups and teach you to improvise the mechanics once you're flowing effortlessly between techniques and you can handle a good degree of resistance the final step is this every single time you roll for the next six to eight weeks play only the game you've been practicing start every round of every training session in that position, if during the role you end up somewhere else work to get back to your position, so you can continue to practice your techniques if you do this process, i promise you will see a huge jump in your effectiveness now it's time to pick a new position and start the process again。
